Sorry no new updates worth reading. I feel - crap. Don’t really know why. Maybe because there’s drought in ‘tasks’ here in my blog? hehe.

Or maybe because I was not able to shop shop shop this weekend? So many SALE signs everywhere but I was not in the mood. Me? …. Still looking for a nice sturdy study table & chair for Ozzy, any suggestion ladies?

Bored.

It is exactly 12:12 AM in my watch and I can’t sleep. I should not have had those 2 cups of coffee earlier. I finished watching all the good shows on TV. I even watched WOW Maling-Mali. It was hilarious. I was engrossed with watching The Practice as well. And my newest fave show is Parco PI.

The little boy is sleeping soundly beside me & I carefully type this entry because the tapping might wake him up. I’ve finally finished reading Sophie Kinsella’s, Can You Keep A Secret. It was a funny book like all the other books by Kinsella. I have yet to get hold of a copy of the Undomestic Goddess. I hear it’s nice too. We’ll see.

Super excited for Sunday, will watch SATC Movie with my good friends…!

What else…oohh yah, I’m thinking of having my hair colored tomorrow; I dunno lighter hair might make me look fat. Our cook said I looked pregnant and that my tummy was getting big; which irked me really because this cook is super tactless, I just had a big dinner, of course my tummy would be huge. DUH. And no, I am not pregnant ~ yet. Besides if I am I will not hide it!

Inspired by the book, I’d spill my little secrets here too like….

+ A friend gave me a whole cake for my birthday last Monday & I finished it all, on my own. I did not share.

+ My son is afraid of shampoo suds..but I scare him anyway because it’s fun.

+ I prefer Jennifer Aniston over Angelina Jolie.

+ I DON’T get people who wear baggy clothes (but it doesn’t mean I don’t like ‘em OK)

There! I feel so much better. I guess I will sleep already..its getting late. Enjoy your weekend guys!

I cannot believe this girl, after that whole hullabaloo regarding her article on the OFW’s; she’s done it again. Now, she managed to upset the whole blogging community.

Got this from Bryanboy’s site.

What are the 3 things I say over and over in a day?! Guess. It’s my pet peeve! Sorry to all those who are working for a credit card company, looking for clients; I just really hate it when I’m busy with work and calls come in from HSBC, Citibank, blah.. blah… Asking me if I want to apply for a credit card or get a loan! I mean, don’t they get a memo somewhere saying this girl Vannie has already said NO like for the nth time?

They even say things like, Please ma’am just apply, it’s free ; you don’t need to use the card, just put it in your wallet for decoration. ~ what the? Are you even kidding me? I do no such thing. Besides I am very happy with my card.

I know parents out there share the same sentiments as me. The fact is, it’s hard to find the perfect nanny. Mrs. Doubtfire, Nanny McPhee & that girl Maria in The Sound of Music are like the dream we, mothers can never have.

I guess there’s like 1 out of 1000 who’s a great nanny not perfect mind you but just great, but of course someones keeping that one & is never gonna share. A great nanny OR house-help for that matter is most likely hard to come by and is worth keeping forever.

Why am I babbling about nannies all of a sudden? Because I am about to give up on mine! Any takers?

I will list down her pro’s and con’s and see which one wins. Let’s see shall we:

Her Pro’s

  • Very concerned with the cleanliness of the surroundings & Ozzy’s.
  • She’s a bit older, and had been a nanny all her life, so knows a lot about taking care of kids even if she doesn’t have one.
  • …and cuz she doesn’t have a kid, showers Ozzy with love, I can see that, Ozzy loves her too.
  • Very patient with Ozzy and can easily put him to sleep!
  • She’s a reader, although she did not finish highschool she can read well, can speak mediocre English.

Her Con’s

  • She picks fights with our other 2 house-help about the tiniest things. She doesn’t know how to let go & forgive the mistakes done by the younger house-helps. Thus, her tirade of words. They are not in speaking terms now & she would not let Ozzy near the other 2 girls even if Ozzy likes to play with them.
  • Her voice is too loud! I get the feeling that she’s a bit KSP. (attention seeker) She sings and makes side comments about everything, a big know-it-all.
  • Although its a good thing that she’s older & knows a lot, she is still the nanny and not the parent, sometimes because I am young she doesn’t listen to me & proceeds with whatever she thinks is best for Ozzy. She should know her place because I am the mom & mommies knows best!
  • She’s very sensitive. Even if it’s not about her; she thinks it is.
  • She’s moody & sometimes I get irritated looking at her frowning.

50-50. I knew it.

I am undecided with this. It’s too hard looking for a new nanny. She has been Ozzy’s only nanny. He knows her, she knows him like a son. Still I think a younger nanny would be better for Ozzy now since he is really active and loves to run around. Current nanny is older thus slower.

Help. Babbling here and going no where.
