Me and my friends attended last Saturday’s Fitness.Fashion fashion show by Inquirer Lifestyle Series. It featured collections of the country’s foremost fashion designers and sought-after activewear brands.

Arrgh I am torn; I was invited to a fashion show in Waterfront Hotel this Saturday and I am not so sure I want to go. There are some stuff I need to do the whole day on Saturday since I’ve skipped going out last week due to my colds and cough.

Normally when a fashion shows on and I get invited I never think about it I just go-no questions asked. Have I suddenly become ‘boring’!?

In the morning, I will have to bring Ozzy to his class. After that; we come home and I put him to sleep. After that, I need to buy groceries, look for hubby’s shoes, find out how much tennis rackets cost (for hubby’s twin) and then find myself a white keyboard (I need to change the one I have now).

Not to mention, I have to have some pictures printed, errands to run, some promotional items to canvass and mother stuff to do. Okay - I am now b.o.r.i.n.g.

Secretly I love it though - staying in and playing the “I don’t love you come tickle me game” with Ozzy. Who cares if I don’t have a life outside motherhood? Motherhood rocks. Anyway, if I don’t get too tired tomorrow maybe I will go, Lord Maturan and Edwin Ao’s creations are going to be shown there anyway and I heart them. So we’ll see if I get out of my old sweats and shorts to get ‘glamed up’.

No plans for today - at all.

Usually I would be bored and find someone to go out with but for once I welcome the slow pace. This week has been super toxic already with traveling, work and sickness out of the way one whole day just hanging out is a welcome change.

I got to wake up late, take a bath near noon, eat lots of chocolates and Pringles and watch videos all afternoon. Life is great. I cannot remember being this laid back since I had Ozzy.

Actually before Ozzy - I don’t really know how I filled up my time. All I know is I was always out of the house. No directions. Selfish. When I got pregnant -my instant though - stretchmarks! And how I cannot wear my sexy jeans anymore; see how vain!?

But - lucky for me in this day and age Stylish Maternity Wear is readily available in shops and online. There are a wide variety of tops, bottoms, dresses and even nursing and  lingerie available for women who want to still be fashionable even with the ballooning weight (and nose!)

And have you seen the Ingrid and Isabel lace bella band? Genius right? You can wear some old tee that you have without worrying that your bottom part of your bump would show. You can wear it with anything, pair it with anything and it comes in many different shades too. And if you’re anything like me when I had Ozzy I had trouble looking for a good nursing bra, good thing Japanese Weekend Maternity has good quality nursing bra’s and other cool maternity wear.

Trust me, being pregnant does things to any woman’s self esteem and it may seem frivolous but clothes that look good can make us feel good. Of course not all women carry their baby the same way some have pointy bumps, some carry low and some belly’s sit high. It is important to look for maternity wear that’s appropriate also for your body type.
