Coming Home.

I am very much looking forward to K and D’s homecoming by the end of this month. I miss them both terribly and if it was up to me, I’d want them to work here instead of Cavite. Selfish? I guess, but I only have a handful of really good ‘girl’ friends and sadly 2 had to work outside Cebu.

Anyway, the last time K was in town we went to Sumilon. Now that their both home for a vacation we were thinking of going to Bantayan Island. But due to conflicting schedule, monetary constraints and prior engagements I am afraid we’ll have to settle for a one day beach outing, agree?

If I had my way, we’ll go off to the Carribean and stay in one of St. Barts villa rentals where we can relax, enjoy and pamper ourselves. Funny how when we were in still college, we had all the time in the world to travel and go beach hopping but we did not have the money. Now that we do have money, we don’t have the time anymore. Gathering everyone for a quick coffee at Starbucks is already a pain. Add to the fact that ’some’ pick their partners over their so called ‘friends’.

I hope we do get together this time around though, I miss my 6 best buds.

Rest & Recreation. That was the highlight of my week last week. The long weekend was what made us decide to check-in a nearby resort & just have fun all weekend.

This is a photo-post. Photo’s speak for themselves.

Saturday Afternoon : We spent it in the beach. Ozzy hated the sand. But he was game enough to “pretend” to enjoy it for us.

Photobucket Squeezing in a little post while the boy is sleeping.

Thank God Ozzy is fine now. His fever was gone yesterday morning and returned after lunch; we would have brought him to the doctor except his pedia was out already and we were advised to come back today, at 10 AM. I was told by a family friend doctor that Ozzy looks fine and we don’t need to be worried. But for extra precaution its best we run some tests for dengue today.

Right now he is running a slight fever and is resting. He would not let me go. He would only want me to carry/hold/feed him.

It broke my heart last night when I was doing his sponge bath and he said, Mommy Yayay patting his head. I knew he was having a headache because his head was the hottest part of his body. He kept on repeating ‘Mommy Yayay’ which made everything harder to bear. He doesn’t eat. He doesn’t like to drink his meds and he doesn’t like when we do a sponge bath.

Thank God for suppositories; as last resort we had to use the suppository. Now he’s fine. Na-subawan siguro. Too much fun under the sun. Hehe. It’s funny how even if he was sick, he would still gamely count to 10 and recite the ABC’s with me. I was reading to him so he can rest and he would follow my lead. Some letter’s like H, K, Q, and W he could not really say yet.

He can also say beach, goat, boat, dog, beat, feet and many more. He would really try to talk now unlike before where he would stare at you! I am so proud. He is trying to be strong.

He is STILL afraid of the beach though, specifically the sand. But pool time was okay, he enjoyed it surprisingly. Pictures here and stories tomorrow. Will bloghop as soon as I have time. Office work is piling up because of Monday’s holiday and my absence yesterday & today!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

***Just got back from the beach! Ozzy had a blast in the pool BUT he was still afraid of the beach particularly the sand in the beach. He had fun looking at the boats though. Right now he is fast asleep in our room. I realized without proper exterior shutters or blinds our room is super bright in the afternoon. Poor boy, no wonder he has trouble sleeping in the afternoons. Will have to get one for our little boy.

Pictures and Story to follow. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Stuffed.

…For an overnight stay in a resort, I managed to stuff my big bag lots of stuff & carefully planned out outfits! The boy for starters has to have clothes plus additional clothes for accidents or emergency. In my mind, you can never leave anything behind especially if a baby is in tow.

I was thinking of even bringing the laptop and the psp for additional entertainment, but I just decided against it because this won’t be a relaxing getaway from the City if I bring gadgets along right?

Speaking of psp, I was thinking how much would a PS3 cost me if I decide to buy one for Josh? It would be a good entertainment gadget for him when he’s away. Also, I would prefer for him to stay home and play that on weekends than go out and have a drink in pubs or something. They do have pubs in Norway, right?

Anyway, our little family is off to the beach after lunch, probably get back to blogging tomorrow evening or Monday morning. No work Monday for us here in the Philippines.

So enjoy your long weekend folks!

Yey, so we’ll be spending our weekend at the beach after all. Reservations has been made and it’s all set. Hubby initiated this weekend getaway because he may leave soon and he wanted to spend as much time with us as possible.

LDR (long distance relationship); can I handle it? It’s a sacrifice we have to make to be able to save up. It’s impossible to earn big here in the Philippines unless you have your own business. Being an employee won’t pay as much; with our growing family we can’t afford our own house if we don’t save, save, save!

Father’s Day is almost here. On the 15th of June to be exact, I almost forgot. What will I give Josh?! I was thinking of treating him out on a date then giving him men’s jewelry like a watch perhaps?

Any other suggestions?
