^Highlights^

…as if I’m not busy enough, last week I’ve finally set-up another blog Life ‘n Syle (www.vanniedosa.com). You know why? Because I stumbled upon it in my email and I suddenly remembered I have an unused domain name. That’s right - so I went over to Dzoi’s blog and followed her 16 easy steps to use custom domain in blogspot and voila! Less that 48 hours later, it was up and fabulously running.

Also, last weekend for Ozzy’s first class in Gymboree’s Level 6 he was very attentive and participative, very different from when he was still new. You can read all about it here. Some of you may find him too young for classes, but I don’t see his sessions as “class” really, more like a learning while playing. Besides, its only for an hour every week. So I was even thinking of enrolling him in art class. That’s why I really need to get a compact flash drive with bigger memory; I have tons of pictures for printing, not to mention all pictures from the SG trip has not been printed yet.

Then, also last week - just in time for our honeymoon (wink!), I finally got those bikini’s from Biquini Brasil thanks guys. I love my swim suits.

Lastly - I finally had time to have the car washed and vaccumed. I still need to have the engine cleaned and the seat covers washed. Hay. Good thing the oil prices rolled back to about P1.0/liter of gasoline, diesel and kerosene by big companies like Eastern Petroleum, Petron Corporation, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation and PTT Philippines. Prices are effective from 12:01 today,Thursday November 20.

Ow, and the dollar ex rate went up too. For people like me who rely on $ that’s always a good thing.

Because today marks MY 1 year Blog Birthday. Woot-Woot.  Notice I said MY instead of THIS blogs? That is because technically, my first ever blog, written by me was in THIS BLOG (Me,Myself+2). But since I don’t write there anymore -well more like I can’t (feel free to delete it in your blogroll); I have opted to greet and pat myself in the back *pat-pat* for a year well done.

I’ve started with zero knowledge of the blogging world and now only a year later - I have managed to own not 1 but 4 blogs and all are personal domain blogs and not .wordpress or .blogspot anymore. I have learned a lot from others and I have gained friends from all over the world, I guess when it boils down to it - I am mostly grateful for the friendship built and the camaraderie that blogging has given me.

As much as I would have wanted to have a contest I can’t because #1 I don’t have the funds for it (thanks to my trip last month my paypal money was drained) and #2 technically this particular blog is not yet 1 year old.

Fun|Fierce|Fabulous (http://vanniedosa.abomar.com) will be turning 1 in March 01, 2009. But I just want to say THANKS to all the readers, to my online friends who keep coming back to read about my mundane existence and to new readers who inspire me to keep on writing.

Who knew something so pretty could grow in our garden that’s so poorly maintained. I love taking pictures of flowers and its rare to find one in our yard, so when I do - It’s something amazing to me.

Now, 5 years later, granted I could afford a few more clothes, I never have the time to shop/go out anymore. Anyway - I’ve just listed below some clothes/outfits you’ll probably never see me in. I’ve used the word probably because who knows? In 10 years these will be cool/cooler/acceptable/un-faux pas!? lol. Besides, right now I don’t have the body for it; maybe I do need Leptovox to help me lose the excess weight.

I wasn’t expecting to be featured in Weekend Snapshots - but I am. And after the initial ‘woah thats me’ I’m happy just being mentioned…and thanks Eds for the heads up!

Weekend was spent mostly at home. It was a rather lazy weekend. After I had whitey washed and vacuumed I found myself with nothing else to do. I was suppose to start my Christmas shopping; but throngs of people swarmed the malls last weekend because of the mall-wide sale so I opted to walk around and window shop instead.

Fortunately for me, the beaches and resorts are a 1-hour ride away. And if my family and I are feeling up to it, we can opt to drive further away around 3 hours away to be exact. Down south, white powdery-sandy beaches can be found in Argao or Moalboal. They are lovely especially in the summer when the weather is perfect - of course nothing compares to the beaches in Brazil like in Rio de Janeiro beaches and São Paulo beaches.

Just last May, my friends and I went down south to Sumilon Island just 4 hours south of the main City. We snorkeled and swam with the colorful fishes. ^Highlights^

Josh and his twin Judd celebrated their birthdays last week. Although I miss hubby, I am still happy that he was able to celebrate his birthday with his friends and brother. They spent the weekend together and some other Filipino’s who were based in Norway like them. One of the girls there had a daughter who was almost the same age as Ozzy. Hubby said he even baby sat. Poor girl didn’t take a nap till 4PM. When Ozzy saw the picture of his dad with the baby girl, he hugged the screen and said “love-love”. Aww. He must miss his dad so much.

For Ozzy’s classes in Gymboree we were already advised by the teacher that he’s ready for Level 6 from Level 5. In Level 6 for 28-36 month kids, they would now be expected to play both independently and with peers while learning to connect ideas through cooperation and communication. While in Level 5 they were just basically taught to stretch their imagination through creative play to support symbolic thinking, language development and social interaction.

Hopefully Ozzy can adapt and make more friends this time. I’ve noticed that although he is very affectionate with his classmates, hugging them all the time and all, he doesn’t necessarily play with them. Yes he would share or wait for his turn but he play by himself most of the time . Same with the other kids, I’ve learned though not to worry because at this age they don’t have the concept of playing together yet.

As for me, I’ve finally felt better last week even though I still had slight colds and cough. That’s why I decided to go to the fashion show. I’m glad I did because I sorely needed the time out with my friends. But the not good part of it was I ate something bad from the restaurant. Tsk.Tsk.
