This is one of those things all over the internet that made me stop and read. Three words - bookshelf speaker systems. It’s about the coolest most genius thing ever invented (well personally I think!) especially when a modern house is designed to be neat and minimalist.
It is both functional and stylish. Guests won’t immediately see the big black boring speakers or sub woofers, they see the nice clean bookshelf and once they notice the speakers, it would be a nice conversational piece.

That’s what I would want when we have our own house. I don’t want it cluttered, messy and full of stuff. Yet - I also want it to be practical and functional. That’s why when I saw this I seriously checked it out. There are more pieces of furniture and fixtures that double as speakers, some pieces of cabinets may even conceal the speakers. Either way, they give the modern house its clean minimalist look without compromising for the cool modern household gadgets.
Don’t you agree?
Oh, I can’t wait to have our very own house! I am brimming with ideas. If only life is that easy.

Friday at last!!!
I love Friday’s because its one day closer to the weekends. Yahoo. Tomorrow, Ozzy has a class in Gymboree - hopefully his colds will get better today so that he won’t miss his class tomorrow.
Anyway, this is definitely not Ozzy’s week, last night while running towards the back door trying to shut it, he stumbled and in effect got his ring finger stuck. Naipit. Poor little boy.
It was swollen and red. We applied cold compress and to my relief, the swelling subsided in just a few minutes. He was back to his old jolly self again. Whew! I was scared that maybe his nails would fall out!!!
Its so cute when he’s asked where’s his boo-boo he’d gamely show his finger and ask for me to kiss it. I ♥ moments like this.
Our weekend plans include me going shopping for baby clothes, specifically jammies and new shirts because his old pajama’s are already short. Weee! Guess cheriffer’s working then, ei?
TGIF guys! xoxo.
I have this one favorite picture of my mother. It was taken when she and my dad were still dating. I find that portrait simple, classy and my mom looked absolutely gorgeous even with glasses.
Right now, when I squint to watch TV or read a book my mom would always ask me if I need my eyes checked. She’s concerned that I would need one too as early as now. Thankfully, I still have 20-20 vision unlike her who had to wear glasses at an early age of 12.
Two years ago she went in for consultation with Cebu’s leading Optometrist Dr. Larrazabal. She was about to do it. But she was diagnosed with Hypertension and Diabetes so she did not push through with the procedure. Her sister, went ahead with the lasik though and is glasses free right now!
What is lasik by the way?
(laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) is a popular elective refractive laser eye surgery performed by ophthalmologists for the correction of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.[1] The procedure is generally preferred to PRK (photorefractive keratectomy, sometimes called Advanced Surface Ablation) because it requires less time for the patient’s recovery, and the patient feels less pain overall. Wikipedia.
Many want to undergo this procedure but do not because of many different reasons, some because of ignorance on what it really is, some are scared of its consequences and others fear they cannot afford such luxury. Right now with Modern LASIK technology, known as the iLASIK™ Procedure even Department of Defense (DOD) and NASA validated its safety and effectiveness.
95% of 100 Military Personnel who has undergone the procedure achieved 20/20 uncorrected vision or better. They strongly recommend this procedure to officers and civilians alike because of its many benefits. If you are interested there are many different LASIK information out there. Before you do anything rash check them out first.
So, Are you an iLASIK™ Candidate?
- Are you 21 years old or above?
- Are you in good health?
- have you had a stable vision prescription for at least one year?
- No existing eye disease?
If you answered yes to all four key questions above and you are qualified to go in for consultation with an eye doctor near you! Good Luck!

We are currently renovating my father’s ancestral house in Jaro, Leyte. It is the house where my dad grew up in and it is very close to his heart. That’s why even if its really far we always make it a point to go there every chance we get. Besides, my 91 year old grandmother still lives there. We are there every Christmas time and sometimes during its fiesta in Summer.
It is important that the house remain beautiful, not only for my grandmother, but also for us because that will be our ancestral house. In the future, I want my kids to have memories of going there too like me. We were thinking of putting Area Rugs and antique furnishings to match the nice dark hardwood floors. We also opened up the windows to have an airy space. We kept the capiz windows though because they are still beautiful and it adds the beauty of the house.
I tried searching online for Cheap Rugs and found a lot of choices in Superior Rugs. They have choices of 100% silk rugs, traditional wool rugs and contemporary wool rugs. But of course we are on a budget so, I decided to look into their choices of affordable rugs and high quality synthetic rugs.
There are so much to choose from! Superior Rugs features area rugs in Persian and Oriental designs at affordable and sometimes discounted prices!
Buying from Superior Rugs is beneficial because unlike most online rug retailers they are just middlemen trying to give you the best price. In this case Superior Rugs manufacture their own line and sell directly without the middleman. You can even stop by their factory warehouse if you live in Central New Jersey. Go on and check out what Superior Rugs can offer.
For this week, Aggie want to know, she asked,

“How’d your first six months go? And what are you looking forward to the next six months?”
Compared to the others entries who are far more colorful and eventful than mine like having a baby, getting pregnant, moving and working in another country, my 1st half of the year is pretty much more laid back.
Let me first refresh everyone’s memory on my New Year’s Resolutions and if I’ve actually done them.
