On July 5 Mitch asks
“Right after your husband proposed, what was the first thing that came to your mind”
To be perfectly honest, there was no formal proposal. We have been talking about getting married ever since we got together when we would reach 25 years old. Fortunately, God had a different plan for us. I got pregnant when I was 22 and we got married 5 months after I gave birth.
Although when we were still talking about getting married, I remember thinking that I was so lucky with Josh. He was responsible, hard-working, funny and really sweet. I remember thinking about having twins with him. Hehe. I also remember imagining the faces of our children! Hahaha.

I have been married to Chi exactly 19 months today, July 02. We have been inseparable since October 2004. I can honestly say, without being OA about it, that I knew the moment I kissed him, I was done kissing all frogs out there; I have found my prince. (cue music)
Jan asked this week, “What do you love most about being married?”
:::::There are many things I love about being married, here are a few:::::
- I have never been more contented & at ease with my life.
- I have someone to talk to about everything without pretensions.
- I have someone who will be there for me 24/7.
- I know I am loved despite my flaws because he says so everyday.
- I love that we are able to create a whole new being & call it our own.
- I love the security and the trust that we have built.
- Mostly, I love being married because I get to be with my prince charming for real & not just a fantasy, we may not have a fairytale worthy love story but still - it is real.
……………. for couples who are trying to conceive, just for fun, read the tips below. We never know right? Hubby forwarded me this email. He knows I want a baby girl next. So at least, we have tips to follow.
Hope it is useful for some of you in planning stage. For those of you do not have any plan in the near future, you can keep it for future reference.
Background:
Man’s sperm consists of X & Y spermatozoa, X spermatozoon decides the female whereas Y is the male. Referring to these physiological properties of the spermatozoa, gynecologists set up the theory of ‘Choice of a girl or a boy’.
1st factor: Food
If you want a baby girl:
Husband must eat more alkaline food, wife eats more acidic food.
If you want a baby boy:
Husband eats more acidic food, wife eats more alkaline food.
Alkaline food: vegetables, fruits, egg white, milk, algae, etc.

Yey, so we’ll be spending our weekend at the beach after all. Reservations has been made and it’s all set. Hubby initiated this weekend getaway because he may leave soon and he wanted to spend as much time with us as possible.
LDR (long distance relationship); can I handle it? It’s a sacrifice we have to make to be able to save up. It’s impossible to earn big here in the Philippines unless you have your own business. Being an employee won’t pay as much; with our growing family we can’t afford our own house if we don’t save, save, save!
Father’s Day is almost here. On the 15th of June to be exact, I almost forgot. What will I give Josh?! I was thinking of treating him out on a date then giving him men’s jewelry like a watch perhaps?
Any other suggestions?
