Stylish from Zenni Optical

Searching for the perfect pair of eyeglasses can be a daunting task. Its hard enough to find the right kind of frame for your face; getting the correct and prescribed lenses are harder and as I have learned - much more expensive.

But, if you’ll look close enough, Great Eyeglasses For Less can be available for each and everyone. There are all frames for different kinds of people; for the different shapes of the faces. For example, I have an oval face so basically I can wear any kind/shape of frame. Its only up to the person wearing to decide; if ever that person wants a dark frame, a lighter colored frame etc. Different options too for diamond shaped face, round, square or triangle shaped face.

Walking into an optical shop can be very confusing where the choices are endless, the colors vast and confusion abounds. But most often than not, it would be very expensive. I’ve seen the video when Zenni Optical was on FOX news, chances are we are being overcharged when purchasing glasses so its better to get it from the source.

Frame#: 4366 Acetate Full-Rim Frame with Star Motif

Variable Dimension Frames From Zenni like this one would go as low as $8! The secret to the low price? They get it from the source; so no more middlemen, no paying of other fees.So anyone can get stylish glasses anytime!

Franchise Opportunity

A few months back I attended a Franchising Fair in SM Cebu. I was surprised to see almost 80% of the participants in the fair were in the food business. Naturally, food is a staple in our lives, we cannot NOT eat which explains food stalls installed everywhere in the streets of Cebu.

SubwayWhen I walk around the mall now, I always observe which food business are popular in the market. Shawarma and ice cream stalls are still popular, more so with fast food joints that offer burger, pizza and pasta. I can’t help but keep my options for business opportunities because I realized as much as I want adventure and new place - I was to stay in Cebu. So that means hubby must come home provided we can decide what business to pursue.

I have observed that many Filipinos enjoy a good burger - and what the #1 Global Franchising Opportunity?

Two words - Subway franchise. Its too expensive for us though. But to those who are interested in franchising opportunities, click here for more franchises.

This caught my eye from Yahoo Articles and I wanted to post it here.

Every female’s body is unique, but our overall body shape typically fits into one of the following four categories: apple, pear, plus-size, and boyish.

If You Are Apple Shaped:(diamond shape)

  • Don’t wear empire-waist tops.
  • Apple shape

  • Wear blouses that fit at the bust, but are not too clingy. Menswear is trendy this season and will give you the fit you desire. “The delicate balance of masculine and feminine touches also looks great with suits,” writes Suze Yalof Schwartz, of Glamour magazine.
  • Pay attention to the collars of tops — your best bets are v-neck, boat, and collared. “Attention to detail around the neck area elongates the neck,” adds Yalof Schwartz.
  • Match your upper half with pants that are either normal or wide-leg to create the perfect proportion.
  • Wrap tops and dresses are ideal for your body type — thank goodness for the crossover effect.
  • Invest in a long coat as the weather begins to get a little chilly.
  • Choose long-lapelled jackets.
  • Wear darker colors on the bottom, and play with brighter and lighter colors on top.
  • Don’t wear turtlenecks as they make large busts appear larger.
  • Higher waistlines will pull in any excess weight.
  • Pair any great outfit with a complimentary pair of shoes, whether they are wedges, flats or chunky heels.

If You Are Pear Shaped (triangle):

  • Wear fitted tops — knits are a great option — to emphasize the smallest part of your body. “Wearing something black and slimming (on top) makes you look small all over,” says Yalof Schwartz.
  • Pear Shaped

  • Pair tops with low-rise pants to balance out your complete fall look.
  • Beware of trousers with side pockets, which just bring more attention to your hip area.
  • Dress in A-line skirts and dresses that rest around the knee.
  • Don’t wear anything too clingy on your lower half.
  • Wear darker bottoms and play with prints, colors, and patterns on the top.
  • Wear lower and wider necklines to bring draw attention upward.
  • Invest in a great pair of bootcut or wide leg pants.
  • Emphasize your fit upper body with sleeveless tops and tees.
  • Don’t laugh, but shoulder pads are ideal to create an hourglass shape. Buy jackets with built-in shoulder pads, or have a tailor sew them in.
  • Wear handbags above the hip.

If You Are Plus-Size:(oval shape)

Most plus-size women are hourglass, apple or pear shaped. However, here are some great tips that work for women of every size:

  • Don’t wear over sized clothing, as it will make you larger. The stylish trapeze dresses this fall are not the best option for your body type.
  • Apple Shape

  • Bring attention to your waist by cinching it at the smallest part with a great scarf or low-slung leather belt.
  • Play with patterns and color, including metallic, but remember to match the size of the patterns to the body size and the chosen color to your complexion.
  • Vertical stripes are truly a woman’s best friend.
  • Dress in this season’s hottest cardigans, whether one button or three buttons.
  • Layer your tops to give the illusion of a smaller frame.
  • Purchase blouses with neckline detail.
  • Monotone outfits in rich fall colors can be just as effective as wearing all black to create a slimming look.
  • Try shopping online to find more options for fuller-figured women.
  • Invest in proper undergarments and body shapers, if you feel necessary.
  • Pair any outfit with a thin high-heeled shoe.
  • Wear clothes with a little bit of stretch.
  • Choose wide-leg pants with a long hem that cover all but the front of your shoe.

If You Have a Boyish Figure:

  • Bring attention to your natural curves.Boyish Figure
  • Steer clear of cropped clothing and go for clothing that will elongate you.
  • Pick items that are voluminous, including trapeze dresses and baby doll blouses.
  • Dress with ruffles, ruching and detailing around the bust.
  • Wear skirts because girl you’ve got the body for them - pencil skirts are our favorite for this season.
  • You want to make your waist defined to trick the eye into thinking you are curvier than you might be.
  • You can go crazy with patterns and textures, so wear the popular tweed and plaid this fall.
  • Dress in color.
  • Try spaghetti straps to bring attention to your neck and shoulders.
  • Purchase straighter leg/classic shaped jeans and trousers.
  • Make friends with the v-neck collar, as it is the universal collar for all body types.
  • Show a little skin.

I would like to add…5th type of body shape which is:

Inverted triangle:

(I kind of have this body type but it isn’t THAT obvious because I know how to flatter my body type)

  • I wear flared jeans and I make sure it flatters my buttocks.
  • Inverted Triangle

  • Do wear good fitting and well adjusted bra.
  • Wear free flowing fabrics.
  • Never wear styles that emphasize your shoulders
  • Don’t wear clothes with stiff and bulky fabrics.
  • Make sure to balance lower body and upper body so draw less attention to upper body - that’s the main goal so as much as possible BOLD and bright colors for a top is not a good idea.
  • Don’t wear tight fitting bottoms that will emphasize your hips.
  • Stand straight and make sure to walk with stomach in and butt out to make an illusion of a shapelier butt.

Hope some tips helped! xoxo

I am in luck tonight. First, Ozzy feel asleep for the second night now without nursing ( I told him the story of Little Red Riding Hood and for some reason he kept laughing!), second I was still able to catch hubby before he left for work so we chatted a bit and lastly - because I took a break from reading the 3rd Twilight Book, I got what I was waiting for.

I saw the perfect looking pair of glasses. I’ve been meaning to look for an inexpensive one that has UV protector and that coating thing to protect my eyes from the strain caused by staring too much on a monitor or computer screen. I had one before but hubby got it because apparently he needed it more than I did.

What’s great about ZenniOptical.com is that they offer a wife variety of eyeglasses and frames at a very affordable price - as low as $8! Their range of lenses vary from single vision lens, sun sensor (potochromic) lens, tinted sunglasses lens, bifocal lens to progressive lens. Many have been satisfied with their service and products so far. The reason why they come out cheaper than any other eyeglasses out there is because their prices are manufacture prices without 3rd party or advertising costs.

Don’t believe me? Just check out this link and read through customers feedback. Hitting the sack now, I am squinting again. Must really need to have my eyes checked. xoxo

Joshua is nearing his 27th month this October 14th. For most, breasfeeding a child this old is a no-no. We always remember the milk advertisements saying, “Breastmilk is best for babies up to 2 years” but haven’t you noticed the line AFTER that!? It actually says, “Breastmilk is best for babies up to 2 years…..and beyond”. Makes it an entirely different sentence all together.

I am proud to have him nurse until now even with my friends disbelief and sheer displeasure. Lately though I see he is ready to self-wean as long as I too would be weaned. Yup, me. I may have prolonged nursing for selfish reasons. Can you blame a working mom like me who barely has enough time as it is?

I nurse him still 2x a day in the afternoon and nighttime because it is easier for me and faster for him to fall asleep. We can however do it the long way which involves singing, stories and lots of self-control.

I found a great informative site (www.babycenter.com) from moms who’ve been there and these are some of the highlights for weaning a child:

Highlights

Snack vs. breast
Let your child lead the way
Change bedtime routines
Introduce the cup
Avoid familiar nursing positions and places
Take it slow
Tricks for the family bed
A recipe for weaning
Pros and cons of going cold turkey

I have used this technique last night, with lights turned off and a full stomach, I sang and sang and talked about anything and everything - alas it worked! He was snoring in about 30 minutes.

Change bedtime routines

My then 26-month-old daughter Elise’s favorite time to nurse was at night, right before bed. Instead of nursing, I read to her from her favorite books. She would then drink her milk, and snuggle into the pillows ready for sleep. It took a few weeks to get her used to the routine — and some crying — but we learned to bond in a different way.

Hopefully, by December he can finally sleep soundly without me by his side all night. Now, who has tips for weaning mommy’s like me? lolz.

Acne Treatments

Information on acne treatment is all over the internet. Others who have worst case of acne go to Dermatologists to fix their problem. What you need to know though is that this problem takes time and not everything that works for one can work for another.

That’s why if your not sure of how to treat your acne its better to get professional help. I, on the other hand rely on 3 key things when I have breakouts. First, I sleep 8 hours a day, second I drink lots of water and third, I make sure to cleanse my face from all makeup and dirt at night.

Also, food plays a huge factor in some of breakouts, peanuts, oily food and food that dumps toxin in your body should be avoided.

Hope the info helps.
