Many things happened for me last week. Weekdays was pretty ‘work-filled’ so I had a whole weekend planned on ME time. If you haven’t visited my blog last week here’s a quick summary of the highlights.
- We received our mid-year BONUS.
- I had my hair colored.
- I had my nails done (super overdue..! I pity the girl who did my nails)
- Ozzy had an accident. (he’s fine now)
- Ozzy says the darn-est things. Daddy loves who?!
- Watched the much anticipated movie, Sex & the City with my equally gorgeous & fab friends.
The movie was fabulous of course but it made me realize the importance of friendship and having really ‘good’ friends. You know the kind of friend who knows your flaws but loves you anyway? Those kind of treasures are hard to find in life & one is lucky to even have 3 good friends in her lifetime. I am lucky. I have friends like that.

Some may have moved to a different city, met new friends, took up different hobbies, had found love; some lost *it*, but one thing remains obvious to me (and I’m sure they feel the same way) our bond is still as strong as ever. We may not see each other everyday, or talk every time but that doesn’t mean we have drifted part, right Lao? Love. Love.
Isn’t it pretty?
It’s a Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvass. A friend is selling one to me for Php 18,000.00 , 6 months to pay. Great deal right?
Hehehe. Drool.
Should I OR Should I????
I always remember Jennifer Hudson’s character in Sex and the City saying he ‘Louis’ was rented & I kept laughing because she was just being real. She never pretended it was hers, she blurted it was just rented.
And when Carrie gave her a real LV bag over the Holidays, I wished at that very moment, I was Carrie’s assistant.
I don’t want a rented bag, I want it mine.
I want it real.
Wahhh, But I can’t. I have to save. I have to save for our dream house.
Many of you shopaholics may have heard of the great black friday sales that happens the day after Thanksgiving; but for those of you who have no clue what it’s all about let me just say read on!
Black Friday (shopping) is the day after Thanksgiving in the USA. Since Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday in November, black friday sales may be as early as the 23rd and as late as the 29th of November. Black Friday is not an official holiday, but many employers give the day off, increasing the number of potential shoppers. Retailers open as early as 5 am or even earlier and offer lots of deals to draw people to their stores.
Great huh? Want to know something greater? Aside from saving money when shopping on black friday sales; you can avoid the hassle of having to stand in line with the crowd by shopping online! In the Black Friday Website you can browse online your favorite stores like Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Ikea, Sears, Target, Wallmart and see what great discounts they offer. Not only that, their website sends out email alerts that let you know when new black friday ads have been posted. This is a great way to plan holiday shopping months ahead.
I am saving up for the black friday sales starting right now!
It’s refreshing to hear that ANTM’s Cycle 10 winner, Whitney is plus sized and considered as a Supermodel. She is the first one out of the 10 cycles to emerge on top despite being on the full side. Realistically speaking she’s actually on the normal side. Her body is considered hot to many. Besides she has a gorgeous face. So she should be given equal opportunity to be a supermodel like any other skinny model out there.
I can’t wait to see her in the cover of Seventeen or any major publication wearing couture gowns, plus size lingerie , tops and various swim wear.
It’s good that models are no longer boxed into the Size 0 category because this creates a wrong perception especially to the young girls watching these ladies in the TV, print ads and magazine covers. There are too many horror stories we hear about young anorexic girls starving themselves to death just to look ‘perfect’.
It’s about time we start changing that perception before it’s too late.

I was doing my usual snooping in celebrity outfits when I stumbled upon red carpet event photos of MK and Ashley Olsen. Now, I grew up watching these twins & I loved ‘em. That was before all this.
Look at the picture at the right and tell me - honestly, can you tell if they are wearing designer outfits?
No. They look like they’ve got out of bed,put on what’s available & rushed off to the event.
Well, who am I anyway to judge right? I can’t even afford what they’re wearing still!!!! You’d think they’ll use all their money to look good & come out looking like this?
The dresses look fine, both by Diane von Furstenberg MK in the slinky gold number while Ashley in the black sexy dress. It’s their whole style that bugs me. Can’t they at least comb their hair?

Now, Victoria Beckham has always had good taste. Good but not really great. Sometimes she overdoes it. And many times she looks stiff.
I like her hair though..and her choice of shoes and her choice of husband? ehehehe
But on the average she’s fine with me, I even had copied her hair style, the Posh Bob at one point in my life.
For this red carpet event; Her white vintage Armani dress looks good on her. Its hard to pull off something with plunging neckline & slits! But her hair & makeup is all wrong! Good thing the perfectly handsome David is there by her side!

Now, look what we have here. The perfect couple themselves. Tom & Katie.
I like Katie, I like her style. She looks effortless & serene.
She’s almost always dressed in Armani & she looks perfect.
But not this time. I don’t like the color of her dress.
It does not match her skin color…but its a nice Armani dress. but not for her.
Also, I feel it’s a bit too short.
and the shoes….it’s so off! So wrong. Next.
Now, look at what Eva Longoria Parker’s wearing!? Isn’t it fab? Like a purple princess! I love the details of the Marchesa dress with the pleats and it’s color, Aubergine is perfect on her. She’s wearing the right amount of jewelry - not too much since her dress is accentuated enough. Her hair is perfect and she looks stunning.
I’d wear this dress anytime!

But! If I had Gisele Bundchen’s body & butt then I’d wear this Versace only-supermodels-can-fit-into-it dress in an instant!!!!

I am a Supermodel Wannabe, I admit it, I strike a pose whenever a camera is pointed at me or even remotely near me! If I had listened to mom’s nagging when I was young I would have at least grown a bit taller and would have a slim chance in becoming a supermodel (dreaming, I know) Sadly, that would always be a fantasy. My height could pass up for a kids height! So you can imagine how “petite” I am.
But if not me then maybe you want to check out http://www.lookoftheyear.com
and see if your up for it. Why not? Great opportunities come for young & beautiful models! Imagine traveling to Paris, Milan, New York and all over the world! Who would not want a chance at that right?
Be the next world’s super model now!

During the Holy Week, I was stuck watching the boy all day because his nanny just left. What kept me sane was watching Project Runway Season 4! They were making beautiful couture pieces with their bare hands.
I was amazed. I was thinking to myself, I can still indulge in my inner fashionista and follow my dream of becoming a designer; there are fantastic fashion schools in California. Like Monique Lhuillier, I want to conquer Hollywood. I would prefer enrolling myself in fashion schools in Los Angeles where I can be challenged to excel. It’s free to dream right?
Gosh, I’d want to follow this dream someday, I’m not too old right? If I can, I’d enroll myself in a fashion school in California right now.
I AM… ME, love me or hate me. Can’t stop the flood ladies.
I WANT…to have my very own domain & hosting someday.
I HAVE…a secret society.
I WISH…for my family’s well being for all times.
I HATE…calls I get from agents asking for me to apply for credit cards. C’mon 4-5 calls a day? Grrr.
I FEAR…a long, painful, slow death.
I SEARCH…for answers in turn I got more questions.
I WONDER…why when you’re looking for something its not there.
I REGRET…having regrets.
I LOVE…my new theme!♥
I ALWAYS…look at the brighter side of any dark situation
I AM NOT…a prissy princess rather I love to get down & dirty.
I DANCE…like there’s no one watching even though everyone’s staring at me the crazy girl.
I SING…songs in the shower and I think I am pretty good…teehee
I CRY…everytime I watch the movie Lilo & Stitch. “Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind” - Lilo
I WRITE…because I want to be heard.
I WON…really? I won?
I AM CONFUSED…did I really win?
I NEED…to remove my new piercing; it hurts my ears.
I SHOULD…start looking for a new yaya.
THE LAST THOUGHT YOU GO TO SLEEP WITH IS…I am a lucky girl.
Thanks for thinking of tagging me with this Iris..hihi ^_^ and yes, I am matino in my answers. Took me a long time to complete this. Had to use my brain. Tsk. Tsk.
It’s your turn to use your brains. Diane Lao , Francine , Mitch , Eds , Em & Apols

Did I tell you? I finished the book, Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. It took me a few days because I kept stopping but I finally finished it last Sunday afternoon when the boy was napping.
Any girl who loves to shop will enjoy the book, learn a thing or two plus have a good laugh! The main character, Becky is quite a character. She loves to shop and indulge in the finer things in life but the reality is she can’t afford her lifestyle. Anyway…if you want a quick summary of the book read here.
I can relate to the main character in some levels, but I quickly realized that I’m totally different from her. Although like her, I enjoy shopping I know when to stop. I can never be caught stuffing bills in the bottom of a drawer or throwing them in holes just to avoid reading them. Yes..yes..I have a thing. I am the type who can’t sleep if I have overdue bills or anything to do with late payments.

Being a girl is plain tedious don’t you think? I just hate how we have too many unwanted hair. I’m complaining because I cut my knee the other day. I was shaving my legs (quite hurriedly) because I was running late for something (my fault I know!). Anyway, now, I can’t wear shorts or a skirt out because my knee has an ugly dark scab.
Girls are just like cars; high maintenance. There’s hair to pluck, tweeze, wax, thread, shave and cut! Imagine all the time we have saved if all unwanted hair is gone. Kaput. Just like that. No more stubby hairy legs! Yey. And that’s just hair, don’t even get me started on how much time we devote on make-up! And there’s outfits to pick as well.haaayy!
Sometimes I wish I was a boy.

My baby’s trying on mommy’s shoes. Walking slowly like a duckling so as not to fall down…Looks so cute…
