My Suit Experience

Storefront_logoMen in suits are sexy don’t you think??? Well, I do and if I had my way I’d like seeing our guys dress in suits more. The problem is its hard to pull off the “suit” look especially if you don’t have the right fit.

The suit better fit perfectly, otherwise leave the dream of “suiting up” as Barney of How I Me Your Mother would say it as a dream. Buying off the rack is not an option with suits and custom suit’s are the best option for this.

My brother, as part of their final thesis is looking for mens’ suit that’s both relatively affordable yet polished and perfectly fit according to his structure.

I heard so much about My.Suit that I decided to check it out. True enough they pride themselves with Made to measure suits that involve a three-step process. There’s measuring, styling and fabric selection. In the first step is to determine your body type and then fit you with a “Gauge Suit”. A “Gauge Suit” accounts for body type, posture and stance, thus creating a dimensional context for the most accurate specs possible. Up to 30 measurements will be taken as opposed to an off-the-rack suit which only considers 3 measurements. Second, in styling you have to consider the pants and the jackets and the different details that go with each. Third and the final step is choosing the right fabric for the occasion. You must also take into consideration the weather. So, since its hot here my brother should consider a lighter fabric.

There are consultants that can be very helpful in selecting the appropriate fabric for your suit in My.Suit so it makes your job, especially if you’re a newbie, easier.
