Car Seats

I was browsing online for an affordable car seat that’s passed my safety standards. I talked about it in my other blog the other day and there’s a lot to consider when buying a car seat for a toddler. If it were up to me beauty comes first. Hah.

car seatBut I’ve realized my foolish ways and learned there are basic rules like if the child is below 12 he/she should be in the backseat!!! Gosh, were guilty of sometimes putting Ozzy in the passenger seat (with an adult of course). Also, did you know in the US, babies should be rear-facing as long as possible. That can mean up to 30, 33 or 35 pounds in most current convertible seats unless they outgrow it by height first.

At first I was leaning on a second hand one, so I was browsing through Ebay but there’s really nothing very nice to choose from. If I can, I’d like to have a Britax car seat.

It looks so cute.

Just a quick comment. It’s not a good idea to buy used seats. You don’t know if the seat has been in an accident, you won’t know if it’s expired or recalled, etc. If you can’t be 100% sure of the safety and history of the seat, you shouldn’t put your little one in it.

Yes, I’m a car seat fanatic! LOL
