Let’s talk about IT or Information Technology shall we?

When I entered college in 2000 Information Technology (IT) was a relatively new course offered. My dad told me it was the latest thing in computer and programming. For sure, by the time I graduate this will be an in-demand course (apart from Nursing but that’s another story all together). My best friend Karen took up IT and tried to talk me into it but due to ignorance on computers, I declined. Now she has a high paying job working for a great and innovative company.

I am happy with my current job and I have no plans of resigning whatsoever but after I started blogging and learning about the internet and html and editing css codes, I realized extra training and knowledge on IT and its benefits can help me in life. I looked into Cisco certification programs and realized that its not too late for me to start learning some more regarding computers, internet and programming.

Its not wonder how extra knowledge and training can advance a person’s career. It would look great in employers eyes if one has added certifications and seminars attended. With Cisco, one can join in the exciting conversations about career advancement and you can discover more about the future of networking technology.

The IT certification programs available through Cisco Career Certifications bring valuable rewards to networking professionals, their managers, and the organizations that employ them. In addition to general certifications in routing & switching, design, voice and wireless there are also special certifications for networking personnel so that they can enhance their basic knowledge in security, IP telephony, and wireless.

Sound interesting, then go on and check out what Cisco can offer!
