Last Saturday, while taking our evening bath, Joshua fell on the rock hard cement floor. It was completely MY fault & I feel so bad about it. I wasn’t able to watch him because I was rinsing my hair. He was just by my side then suddenly he was already falling.
What happened was he tried to get into the pail of water and lost his balance.
There was crying but something else made me freak out. I saw blood coming out from the back of his head.
Every parent’s nightmare. Seeing their child hurt & maybe in danger.
So after freaking out, putting cold compress on his bump, consulting the baby book, and bandaging his wound, Josh & I assessed that the boy is fine. His bump was not blue & black, it was just cut and there was loads (according to me) of blood because there are lots of veins in the scalp.
The boy was fine after a bit of crying, he was not vomiting, his eyelids were not dilated (we checked), and he was perfectly himself.
The whole night, I was monitoring him, I felt so guilty. I felt stupid. I felt reckless. I felt inadequate. Why the heck did God trust me with a baby, I’m so careless. I’m not at all perfect but I try my hardest for Joshua. Oh well, lesson learned. I should have known better, I should keep an eye on him 24/7.
I just can’t help thanking God that nothing serious happened to him.

van, nasa time sila ngayon na malikot sila. so don’t go blaming yourself. kahit tutok na tutok ka pa sa kanila somehow somewhere accidents happen talaga.
pero i monitor mo pa rin si ozzy. sabi mo nga lesson learn. parenting is a process.

Van, accidents happen talaga. wag mo na sisihin sarili mo. i hope Ozzy’s okey now.
it happened to my little girl once. we are about to eat lunch that time. she was sitting between me and my sis. then suddenly, she fell on the floor, sa sobrang likot, dumulas sya sa upuan. nothing serious happened pero she cried hard kasi nagulat dahil sa lakas ng sigaw namin ng ate ko.

yeah, you do tend to blame yourself for the not-so-nice things that happens to your baby…like most mothers do. my kaiden even fell off the bed while i was with him. he was only a few months old then; so you could imagine my tremendous horror!
the previous comment about things like that happens, no matter how careful you are is very true! especially now that your little one in on the stage of exploring everything!

hi van, ethan had his left brow stitched before age 1. mahirap talaga ang boys bukod sa stage nila na malikot likas sa kanila ang pagiging restless… ok na si ozz, stop worrying.
and yes that’s my 5th blog hahaha! for my mom kasi nahihilo na siya sa main blog ko with paid entries hahah!

My gawd, thank god ok na c Ozzy sis! grabe that’s really a nightmare, especially dahil may blood na lumabas hayyy.. as they say nga ganyan tlga ang mommylife my ups and down. Pero like other mommies who commented on this post you shouldn’t blame yourself sis, kalikutan kc ng mga babies natin kya ganyan. Ang mahalaga ok na si Ozzy. Being a mother is a work in progress sis.

Van, don’t blame yourself, accidents happen. These things are just part of childhood lalo na sa stage nila.
Although yun nga be extra careful next time lalo na sa bathroom, masyadong prone yan sa dulas and accidents.
But as I’ve said part yan. Si Deye ng monthly may bukol hehe! Parang monthly period. LOL!

i know how horrible that feels.. i feel the same way everytime mia gets into an accident, whether or not it’s my fault. parang feeling ko i still should’ve watched more closely. pero buti ok naman si Ozzy. sakit na natin yang mga nanay..
