The Philippines has two nominees, amazing. That’s why I love the Philippines, there are a lot of hidden paradise. You don’t have to go very far to find beautiful beaches, falls, caves or whatever.
I suggest, before exploring traveling abroad, one should try going to local tourists sites like Camiguin, Palawan, Batanes and many more.
“Tara na byahe tayo!” It’s summer after all.

Okay, I admit I panicked when I read the title of the article in the Philippine Daily Inquirer last Tuesday, April 2.
Found in the LifeStyle section of the newspaper; I read how some blogs had to close because it ruined their lives. One was forced to close by the parents because the blog exposed her partying & boozing ways. One claimed her posts regarding her hatred for her job caused her that job.
According to that article here are some things you should think about when you blog:
- You don’t know who is reading your page. ~your boss maybe reading! He’ll know you’re spending time blogging rather than working. Tsk.Tsk. I’m guilty of this.
- What you post can make or break your career. ~ refer to #1
- Will your post hurt anyone? ~ although personally I believe that my blog is my own & what I write is my right i think it is best to practice restraint & prudence in the words used or just avoid naming names. Unless of course they owe you $70,000.00
- Can your entries be lifted and used against you? ~ place javascript that will prevent readers from right-clicking your entries and photos. hah! there’s still Print Screen.
- Will your entries attract the wrong kind of people? ~ yah like stalkers or pedophiles! Haiii, I have to be very careful in posting pictures.
Personally, I am careful in my posts. (I think!) any helpful tips guys?

At an early age I have been drawn to fashion. The rush comes when I am shopping. I would browse through the items then unknowingly piling up my cart with lovely things. Lately, since I am busy with my new life as a mommy I rarely get to go out to shop or window shop! That was when I started shopping online. There are a lot of sites out there that would offer fast and easy means to shop without leaving the comforts of your home.
All online merchants use shopping cart software to provide great service to their clients. I found out that the best ecommerce software out there is from Ashop Commerce. As I have said before, I was doing a research on this because I am thinking about going into the direction of having my own online business. After all fashion is my passion might as well make money with it.
Looking into Ashop’s Commerce ecommerce software I learned that their source code is fully web optimised. This would simply mean that your cart’s web promotion package has given you that extra boost of advertising that your business will surely need to gain a place in the wide wide web.
Isn’t that such fabulous news to merchants online? A boost in web promotion is essential in keeping any business afloat. Check out Ashop Commerce ecommerce software now.
4 months shy of his 2nd birthday my grabby little monster still nurses with much gusto. I even joke that he ‘strikes anywhere’ like for example one time when we were watching TV, the boy was beside me… suddenly he was nursing! I was wearing a v-neck knitted shirt that time and yet he easily got though that. Another incident was when we showering together.. well you get the drift.
“Delikado sa chicks toh” my mom keeps on saying. Hahaha
Seriously though, I am slowly weaning him from nursing. But sad to say I am failing miserably! I know it’s partly my fault. When he insists on nursing instead of taking his bottle I oftentimes oblige because he gets into a fit & cry. Also, it is beneficial for me when I’m nursing him for example:
- I don’t need to get up in the middle of the night to get him milk, I just roll over & nurse him.
- Nursing easily puts him to sleep, without it; It may take hours for him to fall asleep. He prefers to be sung! And I suck at that when I nurse him I can get away without singing. nyahahaha
- We save a bit on milk. He consumes 1 900g. can in 1 week and a half. If not; he’ll consume the can in less than a week.
- It’s our little bonding time (as if we don’t get enough!). I feel one with my baby when I nurse.
- It’s like exercising without really doing much (the way I like it.)
- I have an excuse to eat more….what?! I’m eating for two. ahahaha
So with all these benefits why am I in a hurry to wean the boy? That got me thinking; Society dictates that breastfeeding should only be done with babies up to 2 years. But some women breastfeed up until the age of 3 and more. This is called extended breastfeeding or “sustained breastfeeding”. It is believed that all benefits of human milk (nutritional, immunological and emotional) continue as long as the child nurses. This would also be a means for the child to bond with his mother.
So I read on negative impacts of sustained breastfeeding and found none.
I’ve actually found a very informative entry on extended breastfeeding from the site called Skinship and she quoted from Dr. Sears’s Baby Book (p.198): “Life is a series of weanings for a child: weaning from the womb, weaning from the breast, from your bed and from your home to school. The pace at which children go from oneness to separateness should be respected in all of these weaning milestones. /…/ We have studied long-term effects on thousands of children who have had timely weanings and have observed that these children are more independent, gravitate to people more than things, are easier to discipline, experience less anger and radiate trust./…/ In the normal process of oneness and separateness, it is not the mother who weans the baby, but the baby who weans from the mother.”
Having read that, I therefore conclude that it’s my baby’s right to nurse. Given that there are no major disadvantage of extended breastfeeding I will allow my son to self-wean. In his own pace. In his own time.

My husband does not have a credit card. Can you believe that? He applied once but I think his application got lost because he never got a return call from the bank! He never applied again because he hated the hassle of submitting requirements and stuff.
I have two. One is a supplementary card and the other is my personal card. We have actually survived with using only my card for months. However, lately expenses have been increasing steadily ~ from Ozzy’s clothes, milk, vitamins to our groceries, insurance payment and car bills. Using credit cards prove to be very helpful in times when cash is hard to get by. Some credit cards even double as discount cards and others offer points for freebies like when we got our free Sony PSP.
Good thing that there are sites that offer information on credit cards wherein my husband can research online for the right card that will best fit his needs. He can also compare the various credit cards and once he has chosen the card best suited for him, he can easily apply online. That’s it, very hassle free.
He’s hoping that this time around he will get accepted and get his very first credit card.
My dad sold us his 10 year old Toyota Corolla XE. Well maintained with new tires. For young newly weds like us, the terms for this car is a steal! Pay whenever my dad says. But of course we have already given 1/3 as down payment and the rest will be paid by the end of the year.
Happy.Happy.Joy.Joy.
Our 1st car was okay, it served its purpose. But its time to upgrade. Roadtrip!!!
…after watching the Brainy Baby Video on animals (over & over…& over again!) that…
- Cows have 4 stomachs. Each one helps the cow digest its food
- Another name for a Bison is a Buffalo.
- A group of dolphins is called a Pod.
- Pigs are intelligent.
- Zebra’s stripe is different for each; a mommy zebra can tell which baby is hers by the baby’s stripes.
- Giraffe’s eats around 70lbs of greens a day!
Ozzy Updates!!!
- The little boy can say ‘ambi‘ in english, give that to me.
- Ee-yaw! - he means no! in bisaya its actually ‘ayaw’.
- toto - he means to say ‘puto‘
- wowo - for his lolo
- wowa -for his lola
- mamanan -food please.
- He can do all the sounds of the animals in old McDonald’s farm.
- He can take off his briefs on his own.
- He gives me a big kiss complete with sounds if he wants something.
- He poses like this if in the mood.

***I had a crappy day yesterday.Ozzy sensed this I guess, out of the blue he hugged me tight. (he almost never does this unless forced.teehee). Moments like this make days bearable.Love you with all my heart Joshua.***
