I know parents out there share the same sentiments as me. The fact is, it’s hard to find the perfect nanny. Mrs. Doubtfire, Nanny McPhee & that girl Maria in The Sound of Music are like the dream we, mothers can never have.

I guess there’s like 1 out of 1000 who’s a great nanny not perfect mind you but just great, but of course someones keeping that one & is never gonna share. A great nanny OR house-help for that matter is most likely hard to come by and is worth keeping forever.

Why am I babbling about nannies all of a sudden? Because I am about to give up on mine! Any takers?

I will list down her pro’s and con’s and see which one wins. Let’s see shall we:

Her Pro’s

  • Very concerned with the cleanliness of the surroundings & Ozzy’s.
  • She’s a bit older, and had been a nanny all her life, so knows a lot about taking care of kids even if she doesn’t have one.
  • …and cuz she doesn’t have a kid, showers Ozzy with love, I can see that, Ozzy loves her too.
  • Very patient with Ozzy and can easily put him to sleep!
  • She’s a reader, although she did not finish highschool she can read well, can speak mediocre English.

Her Con’s

  • She picks fights with our other 2 house-help about the tiniest things. She doesn’t know how to let go & forgive the mistakes done by the younger house-helps. Thus, her tirade of words. They are not in speaking terms now & she would not let Ozzy near the other 2 girls even if Ozzy likes to play with them.
  • Her voice is too loud! I get the feeling that she’s a bit KSP. (attention seeker) She sings and makes side comments about everything, a big know-it-all.
  • Although its a good thing that she’s older & knows a lot, she is still the nanny and not the parent, sometimes because I am young she doesn’t listen to me & proceeds with whatever she thinks is best for Ozzy. She should know her place because I am the mom & mommies knows best!
  • She’s very sensitive. Even if it’s not about her; she thinks it is.
  • She’s moody & sometimes I get irritated looking at her frowning.

50-50. I knew it.

I am undecided with this. It’s too hard looking for a new nanny. She has been Ozzy’s only nanny. He knows her, she knows him like a son. Still I think a younger nanny would be better for Ozzy now since he is really active and loves to run around. Current nanny is older thus slower.

Help. Babbling here and going no where.

Brush It Up!

In my case, comb it up.

hair doc Mitch tagged me with this interesting meme. I never really paid enought attention to it until now. She asked,” What do YOU consider in buying a brush?” For me, I choose it when it’s handy, light & it won’t tangle my hair. I hate looking at a brush seeing all those fallen hair in it. ick.

That is why I don’t have a brush, I just use a comb. Since highschool, I’ve been a Hair Doctor girl. It’s light, compact & it’s perfect for my hair. I only comb after taking a bath so this is great for a tangle free hair.

Besides, brushes make my frizzy hair puff. hahaha.

What about you? What do you consider in buying your hair groomer Chat , Dez , Kelly , & Thea ?
